Our Vision

  • aLife perceives every child, from the moment of conception, as a precious gift, a celebration of life!

  • aLife believes that every child, regardless of circumstance, is entitled to a good education and a stable, secure and nurturing environment to grow up in.

Our Mission

Alife Background 2.png
  • to provide pregnancy assistance to any woman confronted by an unplanned and unsupported  pregnancy;

  • to provide a comprehensive support network for families in crisis, with a special emphasis on the marginalized and underprivileged members of society;

  • to improve the quality of life of children from low-income and dysfunctional households through counselling, public education and child support.

Our Core Values

Our mission and work are guided by these core values:

Respect: We believe in the sanctity and dignity of human life. We treat all people with dignity and respect.

Collaboration: We believe in the value of working with others and achieving together what may not be possible alone. We aspire to bring a collaborative spirit and strategy to all that we do, learning from the insights and leadership of others, and sharing openly what others may be able learn from us.

Impartiality: We make no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class, or political opinions. We endeavor to alleviate the suffering of individuals, being guided solely by their needs, and to give priority to the most urgent cases of distress.

Our Challenges & Constraints

Fundraising

Owing to the continued repercussions of Covid-19, there has been a considerable drop in steady donations to aLife, as compared to pre-pandemic times. As a result of this, we have had to re-double our efforts to fund raise creatively and raise our profile awareness, so as to engage like-minded individuals in our cause.

Lack of Manpower

In an effort to keep our overheads low, our staff pool is kept to a bare minimum.  With the advent of the pandemic, many worthwhile programs have had to be put on hold, while we have transitioned the others to a hybrid format wherever feasible.

Maintaining Programs

We currently serve over 100 needy families; the majority of these households have on average 3-4 children below the age of 12yo. We believe in maintaining our service standards at an optimal level. In these tough times, outreach is both challenging and critical. Our clients have come to rely on aLife as a safe harbour in a storm. We in turn depend on the goodwill and support of kind benefactors to our cause.

Will you make an impact?
